Sankalp Restaurant is looking for an experienced Tandoor Cook to join our growing kitchen team. If you have experience preparing authentic Indian tandoor dishes in a fast-paced restaurant environment and are passionate about quality food, we'd love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook tandoori appetizers, kebabs, tikka, naan, roti, kulcha and other tandoor specialties.
Operate and maintain a traditional tandoor oven safely and efficiently.
Prepare marinades, dough, and mise en place before service.
Maintain consistency in food quality, taste, and presentation.
Monitor food inventory and minimize wastage.
Follow Health Canada food safety and sanitation standards.
Keep the kitchen clean and organized.
Work closely with the kitchen team during busy service hours.

Requirements

Minimum 1 year of commercial tandoor cooking experience.
Experience with naan, roti, kebabs, tikka, and Indian breads.
Ability to work in a high-volume restaurant.
Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work evenings and weekends.
Team player with a positive attitude.
