Job Title: Service Dispatcher

Location: Vaughan, ON

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Service Dispatcher to join our operations team. In this role, you will act as the vital communication hub between our customers, field service technicians, and internal management. You will be responsible for taking service requests, managing schedules, and efficiently dispatching technicians to ensure minimal downtime and exceptional service delivery for our clients' mobility systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Dispatch & Route Scheduling: Coordinate, schedule, and dispatch field technicians to routine maintenance visits, repairs, and modernization projects using our centralized dispatch software.
  • Emergency Response & Prioritization: Assess the urgency of incoming calls—with high prioritization on entrapments or critical safety hazards—and deploy immediate field technician support.
  • Customer Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients calling in with service requests, providing clear timelines, updates on technician arrival times (ETAs), and follow-up notes.
  • Data Entry & Ticket Management: Open, update, track, and close service tickets accurately in the system, ensuring all technician hours, part allocations, and service notes are recorded for billing.
  • Resource Coordination: Collaborate with warehouse and service supervisors to ensure technicians have the necessary parts, documentation, and specific location requirements before heading out.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Experience: 1–3 years of experience in dispatching, logistics, high-volume call centers, or field service operations (experience in property management, HVAC, plumbing, elevator, or industrial service is a plus).
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to maintain a calm, professional, and empathetic demeanor under pressure.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong computer skills, including experience with service management/CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, SAP, or specialized dispatch software) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Problem-Solving: Proven ability to multitask, solve scheduling conflicts on the fly, and prioritize time-sensitive tasks dynamically.
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required; higher education or vocational certifications in logistics/operations is a plus.
