Job Summary:

We are seeking a proactive, safety-focused Warehouse & Parts Supervisor to lead daily logistics, material handling, and inventory management at our Mississauga branch. In this role, you will oversee the distribution of heavy mechanical parts, special tools, and equipment supporting our field service technicians and client sites.

The ideal candidate will combine a strict commitment to workplace safety with intermediate technical proficiency in Oracle or similar ERP database software to maintain a lean, highly organized inventory system.

Key Responsibilities:

Operations & Fleet Logistics

  • Supervise and assist with day-to-day shipping, receiving, loading, and unloading of heavy industrial parts, mechanical equipment, and tools.
  • Coordinate local delivery schedules, dispatching warehouse drivers to client job sites to keep field service technicians reliably supplied.
  • Arrange for the routine maintenance, upkeep, and servicing of the branch's company vehicle fleet.
  • Maintain clean, orderly, and highly efficient storage areas using 6S/LEAN principles to optimize space utilization.

Inventory & Parts Management

  • Accurately manage and track specialized mechanical parts and tracking of special tools using Windows-based computer systems and Oracle database software.
  • Lead periodic inventory cycles, physical counts, and reconcile discrepancies or damaged components immediately.
  • Review, process, and file incoming invoices, ensuring documentation matches received shipments before forwarding for corporate processing.

Leadership, Safety & Compliance

  • Champion a culture of strict safety compliance; conduct regular safety audits and lead team briefings (e.g., "Toolbox Talks") to minimize risk in a safety-sensitive environment.
  • Investigate safety/health hazards or accidents immediately, ensuring compliance with both company protocols and the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA).
  • Coach, train, and engage warehouse personnel, ensuring all operators are appropriately certified on equipment.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required; additional logistics or supply chain certifications are an asset.
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in an industrial warehouse, manufacturing, or heavy machinery parts environment, with a proven track record in a leadership or supervisory capacity.
  • Technical Skills: Intermediate proficiency with Windows OS, MS Excel (data logging), and Oracle ERP or similar robust database software.
  • Certifications: Valid Ontario Driver's License with a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) is required; active OSHA/MOL forklift certification is highly preferred.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to safely lift and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs, and comfortably work in an active industrial warehouse setting.
  • Communication: Strong interpersonal and clear, concise communication skills for collaborating with office management, corporate HR, and field labor forces.

What We Offer

  • Competitive base salary with comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage.
