Our client is an established Design-Build and Construction Management firm specializing in Industrial, Commercial and Institutional (ICI) construction throughout Southwestern Ontario. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an Estimator to join their collaborative office team.

This opportunity is ideal for:

• A Junior Estimator looking to take the next step in their career.
• An Architectural Technologist or Architectural Technology graduate interested in transitioning into estimating.
• A construction professional with 1-5 years of experience who enjoys pre-construction, budgeting, and problem solving.

This is a full-time, in-office position where you'll work closely with senior leadership and gain exposure to every stage of the estimating process.

What You'll Do

• Prepare quantity take-offs from drawings and specifications.
• Assist in preparing conceptual budgets, cost estimates, and competitive tenders.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations.
• Review drawings, specifications, and tender documents for completeness.
• Help identify project risks, opportunities, and value engineering solutions.
• Maintain estimating databases and historical costing information.
• Work alongside Project Managers and Operations to support successful project handoffs.
• Participate in pre-construction planning and budgeting activities.

What We're Looking For

• 1-5 years of estimating, construction, architectural technology, drafting, or related experience.
• Diploma or Degree in Architectural Technology, Construction Engineering Technology, Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or a related discipline is considered an asset.
• Strong understanding of construction drawings and specifications.
• Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
• High attention to detail with strong organizational abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with estimating software is an asset.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach.
• Eagerness to learn and develop within a growing organization.
