Job Title: Recruitment Coordinator
Location: St. Johns, NL

Reporting totheSenior Manager of Human Resources, theRecruitment Coordinatoris responsible fordeveloping and implementing effective recruitment strategies to attract andretainhigh-quality candidates aligned with organizational goals. It involves managing the full recruitment cycle-from drafting job descriptions and posting vacancies to screening, interviewing, and onboarding new hires. This position also focuses onmaintainingaccuraterecruitment records,monitoringkey performance indicators, and continuously improving processes for greater efficiency and effectiveness. Collaboration with hiring managers and internal stakeholders is key to understanding staffing needs, enhancing the candidate experience, and supporting seamless onboarding. Additionally, the role includesparticipatingin job fairs and building strong relationships with candidates, employees, and external partners to promote the organization and strengthen its talent network.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract high- qualitycandidates, aligning with organizational goals
- Stay up to date with current recruiting methods, using a multi-channel approach to recruit both active and passive candidates
- Ensure all recruitment activitiescomply withemployment laws, equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) principles, and organizational standards
- Identifyissues affecting recruitment, implement improvements, and continuously enhance efficiency and effectiveness
- Review Hiring Request Forms and collaborate with hiring managers to understand job requirements and staffing needs
- Draft and update job descriptions, ensuring clarity and alignment with organizational requirements
- Post job listings on job boards, organizational websites, and other relevant channels
- Monitor incoming applications andmaintainrecruitment databases
- Conduct preliminary phone interviews and electronic screenings toidentifyqualified candidates
- Organize, schedule, andfacilitateinterviews
- Oversee the candidate journey from screening and interviewing to selection, offer negotiations, and onboarding
- Keep candidates informed and engaged throughout the recruitment process, providingtimelyfeedback
- Ensure reference checks are completed and follow up on background check submissions
- Assistwith onboarding byfacilitatingcommunication with internal stakeholders
- Maintainaccuraterecords of candidates, interview data, and recruitment activity
- Update andmaintainrecruitment databases (including applicant tracking systems)
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Create employee files, ensuring proper documentation
- Complete recruitment and onboarding process for summer hires
- Prepare for andparticipatein virtual and on-site job fairs to promote opportunities and engage potential candidates
- Cultivate andmaintainstrong professional relationships with hiring managers, employees, candidates, and external stakeholders to foster a positive environment
Qualifications and Experience:
- Diplomaordegree in human resources or related field and equivalent experience withat least2yearsof full cycle recruitment experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and client relations skills
- Exceptionalorganizational skills and attention to detail
- Understanding of human resource principles,practicesand procedures
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability tomultitask andmeet deadlines
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
- Proficient with Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace
- Experience working with any HRIS will be an asset
Conditions of Employment:
- Legal authorization to work in Canada
- Flexible to work outside of core hours (Monday-Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm)
- Valid class 5 NL drivers license and daily access to apersonalvehicleisrequired
- Ability totravelisrequired
- Position is subject to a satisfactory Criminal Record Screening and Vulnerable Sector Check from the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary
