310T Mechanic

Work Schedule:

• Monday to Friday: 8am to 4pm or 9am to 5pm
• Overtime is possible; however, the shop closes at 6pm.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform general maintenance, repair, and service of tow trucks, automobiles, buses, and trucks in a timely manner.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and assist in identifying and correcting unsafe conditions.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventative maintenance of equipment at our head office shop.
• Maintain and repair complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on a variety of trucks, including:
  • Fuel injection systems
  • Exhaust systems
  • Cooling systems
  • Lubrication systems
  • Engine control systems
  • Vehicle brake systems
• Repair, maintain, and service our fleet of trucks.
• Communicate with drivers and provide efficient service.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and shop manuals in a satisfactory manner.
• Ensure clear and accurate written documentation of all repairs.
• Use personal protective equipment and exercise precautions to mitigate risks associated with chemicals, diesel fuel emissions, noise, moving objects, and hazardous materials.

Qualifications:

• Highly motivated individual with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
• Strong attention to detail, quick learner, and the ability to adapt to varying situations.
• Able to read and write in English.
• Must have own tools.
