THE ROLE

Our client is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join their finance team on a contract basis during a critical budgeting and forecasting period. Reporting directly to finance leadership, the Senior Financial Analyst will play a key role in supporting financial planning activities, enhancing financial models, and providing meaningful analysis that supports strategic decision-making across the organization.

This position is ideal for a hands-on Senior Financial Analyst professional who enjoys solving complex problems, improving processes, and working in a fast-paced environment where their contributions will have a direct impact.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support the annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
• Develop, maintain, and enhance complex financial models
• Analyze financial results and provide variance analysis and business insights
• Assist with the preparation of management reporting packages and executive-level presentations
• Review and improve existing financial models, reporting tools, and planning processes
• Partner with stakeholders across the business to gather information and support decision-making
• Provide ad hoc financial analysis to support operational and strategic initiatives
• Ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of financial data across multiple systems
• Support process improvement initiatives and other special projects as required

QUALIFICATIONS

• CPA designation completed or in progress is preferred
• 5+ years of progressive experience in Financial Planning & Analysis, Corporate Finance, or a related field
• Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis experience
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate work
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
• Strong communication skills with the ability to partner effectively across all levels of the organization
• Experience working with ERP systems and reporting tools
