Human Resources Generalist (6-Month Contract)

Trotman Auto Group, one of Canada's Best Managed Companies, is looking for a proactive and driven Human Resources Generalist to join our team on a 6-month fixed-term contract.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Maintaining accurate employee records and ensuring HR compliance
  • Supporting full-cycle recruitment including job postings, screening, and interview coordination
  • Coordinating onboarding and delivering new hire orientations
  • Acting as a first point of contact for employee inquiries related to HR policies and programs
  • Generating HR reports and supporting workforce analytics and decision-making
  • Assisting with compensation research and reward & recognition programs
  • Conducting OH&S audits and supporting workplace safety compliance
  • Partnering with HR leadership on projects to enhance employee engagement and HR processes

Schedule: Full-Time, Fixed-Term

Compensation: $63,000 – $70,000 per year

What We're Looking For:

  • 3+ years of experience in an HR Generalist or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of HR practices including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and OH&S
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfort learning HR systems and tools
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with confidence presenting to groups
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Positive, proactive, and people-focused approach

*This contract has the potential for extension based on business needs and individual performance.
