Safety
- Ensure safe work systems/procedures are always practised and adhered to ensuring duties are performed in a manner that minimises risk to self, employees, and contractors.
- Always maintain exemplary standard of housekeeping, safe work, incident/accident reporting & active involvement in safety initiatives to ensure a safe work environment.
- Abide by and proactively comply with Company policies, procedures, guidelines, and systems, as well as all relevant legislation.
- Understand and familiarise oneself with site Emergency evacuation procedures.

- Lead by example and actively participate to achieve department and company goals and objectives.

- Support and follow all lawful instructions/directives from direct supervisor.

- Ensure good, clear lines of communication between all stakeholders, including the Site Management team, co-workers, and contractors
Knowledge / Skills
- Perform pre-operational and post-operational checks
- Safely operate LHD and demonstrate good mucking practices
- Scoop development headings and stockpiles to trucks.
- Keep trucks operating at full efficiency ensuring all ore, low grade, marginal and waste are kept separate.
- Scoop out and clean faces ensuring it is left acceptable for next cycle. This may also include hosing down, scaling or marking up butts.
- Keep all roads in working areas clean and free from potential hazards.
- Lock-out and tag out as per regulatory bodies and company policy
Teamwork
- Work collaboratively with others to achieve organizational goals both within own department and site wide.
- Leverage the talent and knowledge within the team to resolve problems.
- Follow instructions as per SOPs, guidelines and those provided by the shift supervisor
Planning & Organisation
- Prioritise and complete tasks accurately as to specifications as assigned by direct supervisor within required timeframes.
- Proactively identify and address hazards before they arise as issues.
- Be punctual to work and all required site meetings.
- Undertake other duties as lawfully instructed
