- As the Service Manager, you'll spearhead the daily operations of the service department—driving performance, elevating customer satisfaction, and developing a talented team of technicians and service staff.

- Lead, mentor, and coach a high-performing service team
- Set clear expectations and maintain strong communication through daily huddles
- Address trends affecting morale, productivity, turnover, and staff satisfaction
- Oversee hiring, onboarding, scheduling, training, performance management, and recognition
- Build a culture of passion for brands and elite customer service
- Maintain technician files for apprenticeships and payroll requirements
- Partner with leadership on annual business planning and budgeting
- Monitor financial performance with precision (productivity, efficiency, margins, expense control)
- Review budgets daily and analyze variances
- Identify trends and implement strategies to boost profitability
- Maintain 5S standards to ensure a safe, efficient workspace
- Manage warranty chargebacks to ensure full recovery and operational accuracy
- Stay current on market trends and industry technology
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships at all levels
- Visit customers regularly to understand needs and strengthen loyalty
- Support tender bids and assist with vendor coordination when required
- Develop and execute strategies to attract and retain service customers
- Required Qualifications
- 8+ years as a Service Technician or similar role in trucking/dealership environments
- 3+ years successfully leading and developing diverse teams
- Strong communication, analytical thinking, and operational decision-making skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Proven customer service excellence, commitment to providing exemplary service within a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Bonus Points For:
- Journeyperson Commercial Transport or Heavy-Duty Technician certification
- Experience in a unionized environment
- Training in Business Management or a related field
