About the Role
The Project Manager will be a key member of the Development team, responsible for managing the
execution of Enwaves capital projects, including the large-scale PEI Facility Upgrade project. The Project
Manager is responsible for ensuring that the project is delivered on time, on budget and on specification
and ensuring ongoing communication with internal and external stakeholders. We are seeking a
hardworking individual who is passionate about decarbonization and has a desire to play an active role in
the transition to clean energy.
Duties & Responsibilities
Manage the execution of the PEI Upgrade capital project to ensure that the project is delivered
on time, on budget and per agreed to performance specifications
Coordinate with cross-functional teams within Enwave, including the engineering, operations,
commercial and legal teams as required to successfully deliver the project in line with Enwave
standards
Actively identify and manage construction project risk on a continuous basis
Administer and manage the execution of the design-build, vendor supply, consultant and other
related contracts to ensure that the project is executed according to all requirements and
specifications
Oversee daily construction activities and proactively mitigate day-to-day issues, ensuring that
construction is safely accomplished in accordance with Health & Safety guidelines, project
contracts, guidelines and specifications, environmental requirements, permitting and industry
best practices
Ensure proper project administration and document control in accordance with company
processes
Maintain and manage excellent working relationships and coordinate work with approval
agencies, contractors, architects, engineers, consultants and other external and internal
stakeholders as required to ensure that construction work is completed to the satisfaction of all
stakeholders
Establish proper handover, integration and commissioning plans and ensure proper
commissioning and handover of project to Enwaves operations team
Manage and report on project costs and budget, including accruals, updating project forecasts
and trackers, and reviewing and approving invoices
Manage and report on project schedule, including milestone and critical path tracking
Complete regular project reporting, including schedule, budget and risk updates, for various
internal and external stakeholders, including Leadership and Executive teams
Secure required permits for execution of project
Manage quality assurance of all aspects of project from engineering, procurement, construction
through to operations
Desired Knowledge, Skills & Experience
5-7 years experience in capital project management and delivery of complex projects, including
projects >$50M value
Post Secondary degree in technical area of study (e.g., engineering, architectural science,
construction management)
Experience in the district energy / thermal energy sector and, specifically, waste-to-energy an
asset
Experience with the management and administration of various types of CCDC contracts
including the CCDC-14 DB form of contract
PMP and previous experience with construction project management software an asset
Demonstrated experience with MS Office software applications (Project/Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Dynamics 365)
Excellent proactivity, organizational and time management skills, and attention to detail
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong leadership presence in a team setting and proven ability to make and escalate risk-assessed decisions based on established frameworks
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment as well as working independently to ensure processing and completion of relevant tasks in a timely and accurate manner
Ability to work in a dynamic environment which requires a high level of flexibility and adaptability
Demonstrate agility in adjusting and refining project processes to better align with evolving project needs and objectives
Compensation: $ 140,000-150,000 CAD Annually.
