Position Summary

The Junior System Administrator is central to keeping our teams connected, productive, and set up for success by delivering reliable, high-performing technology across the business. Supporting everything from troubleshooting and system optimization to onsite setups and new hire onboarding, this role partners closely with Pre-Construction, Project Management, Marketing, Accounting, and field teams. It is a hands-on, solutions-driven position focused on making technology work seamlessly for Ventanas people and projects.

As a Junior System Administrator your key accountabilities will involve:

  • Setting up and maintaining basic computer, network, and software systems (on-site or remote).
  • Troubleshooting and resolving common hardware and software issues.
  • Replacing or updating equipment and software as needed.
  • Supporting users by answering questions and resolving technical issues.
  • Using a ticketing system to log, track, and manage support requests, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Maintaining an up-to-date inventory of IT equipment, software, and supplies.
  • Staying informed on basic IT trends and security best practices.
  • Creating and updating support documentation.

As a Junior System Administrator your success is dependent on:

  • End user-focused, solution-oriented problem solving.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Effective relationship building skills.
  • Willingness to learn new systems and tools.

As a Junior System Administrator your experience and qualifications will include:

  • Successful completion of a technology program or equivalent co-op practical experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with a strong focus on detail and results.
  • Having a Class 5 licence is an asset.
