About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Superintendent to join a leading general contractor on a high-rise residential project in Calgary, focused on interior construction and finishing phases. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a landmark development and grow within a well-established construction team.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Superintendent in managing day-to-day interior construction activities
- Coordinate and supervise trades during finishing stages (drywall, painting, flooring, millwork, etc.)
- Ensure work is completed according to schedule, quality standards, and safety requirements
- Assist with deficiency tracking, inspections, and closeout processes
- Maintain clear communication with subcontractors, project managers, and site teams
- Help enforce site safety protocols and company policies
- Track progress and contribute to short-term scheduling and lookaheads
Qualifications
- 3–7+ years of experience in a construction/site supervision role
- Proven experience working on multi-family or high-rise interior phases
- Strong understanding of finishing trades and sequencing
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
- Solid communication and organizational skills
- Commitment to safety and quality
