General Accountant

Lambert Nemec Group, Manitoba's leader in Permanent Accounting & Finance Recruitment, has partnered with our client in the city located in Winnipeg to recruit a General Accountant to become an active member of the team. The successful candidate will be reporting to the Controller and should be intrinsically motivated and a hard worker who appreciates work autonomy.

Responsibilities:

· Setting up accounts and balances in the accounting system

· Daily bank reconciliations of accounts to ensure accuracy

· Monthly account reconciliations and GL accounting

· General journal entries

· Assist the Controller in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements

Requirements:

· 4+ years minimum of relevant experience in full cycle accounting

· A degree or diploma in accounting or business administration (required)

· Experience with computerized accounting programs e.g. AccPac, Dynamics-Great Plains, SAP, QuickBooks, Sage and other ERP Systems

· Strong time management and multi-tasking skills, amazing communication and people skills and must be highly organized.

Rewards:

· Annual Salary of $55,000-$65,000
