About the Role

We are seeking a reliable, hardworking, and versatile Breakfast Attendant / Maintenance Associate to join our team. This dual-role position is responsible for ensuring a positive breakfast experience for guests while also assisting with the maintenance and upkeep of the hotel property. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, hands-on, and takes pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

Breakfast Attendant Duties

  • Set up and prepare the breakfast area before service

  • Replenish food, beverages, and supplies during breakfast hours

  • Ensure food presentation and quality standards are maintained

  • Maintain cleanliness of the breakfast area, kitchen space, and dining room

  • Greet guests and provide friendly, helpful service

  • Follow all food safety and hygiene standards

  • Clean and break down the breakfast area after service

Maintenance Duties

  • Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs throughout the property

  • Inspect guest rooms and public areas for maintenance issues

  • Address plumbing, electrical, painting, and general repair needs as assigned

  • Maintain outdoor areas, including seasonal upkeep and cleanliness

  • Ensure hotel equipment and facilities are functioning properly

  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and staff

  • Assist with preventive maintenance programs and property inspections

Requirements

  • Previous experience in hospitality, food service, maintenance, or a related field is an asset

  • Strong customer service and communication skills

  • Basic knowledge of building maintenance and repair work

  • Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed

  • Ability to lift, carry, and move supplies and equipment

  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently

  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

  • Food Handler Certification is an asset

  • Previous maintenance or handyman experience is an asset

  • Valid driver's license is an asset
