About the Role
We are seeking a reliable, hardworking, and versatile Breakfast Attendant / Maintenance Associate to join our team. This dual-role position is responsible for ensuring a positive breakfast experience for guests while also assisting with the maintenance and upkeep of the hotel property. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, hands-on, and takes pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.
Responsibilities
Breakfast Attendant Duties
Set up and prepare the breakfast area before service
Replenish food, beverages, and supplies during breakfast hours
Ensure food presentation and quality standards are maintained
Maintain cleanliness of the breakfast area, kitchen space, and dining room
Greet guests and provide friendly, helpful service
Follow all food safety and hygiene standards
Clean and break down the breakfast area after service
Maintenance Duties
Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs throughout the property
Inspect guest rooms and public areas for maintenance issues
Address plumbing, electrical, painting, and general repair needs as assigned
Maintain outdoor areas, including seasonal upkeep and cleanliness
Ensure hotel equipment and facilities are functioning properly
Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and staff
Assist with preventive maintenance programs and property inspections
Requirements
Previous experience in hospitality, food service, maintenance, or a related field is an asset
Strong customer service and communication skills
Basic knowledge of building maintenance and repair work
Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Ability to lift, carry, and move supplies and equipment
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Food Handler Certification is an asset
Previous maintenance or handyman experience is an asset
Valid driver's license is an asset
