Key Responsibilities
- Assisting journeymen with concrete formwork and general carpentry tasks
- Prepare, measure, and cut materials according to project requirements
- Support construction activities including layout, assembly, installation, and dismantling of temporary structures and formwork
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Load, unload, and move construction materials and tools as needed
- Perform routine tool and equipment checks
- Follow all company safety procedures, site rules, and PPE requirements
- Work collaboratively with crew members and supervisors to complete tasks efficiently
- Complete additional duties assigned by the Foreman or Superintendent
Qualifications & Requirements
- Registered 2nd Year Carpenter Apprentice (or actively progressing toward certification)
- Previous construction or concrete formwork experience considered an asset
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Physically capable of lifting materials, working on your feet for extended periods, climbing ladders, kneeling, and working at heights
- Basic construction math and measuring skills
- Positive attitude, reliable attendance, and willingness to learn
- Ability to follow direction and work safely in a fast-paced environment
- Valid safety certifications such as WHMIS required; additional safety tickets are considered an asset
