Join Our Team as a Ventilation Technician!
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Ventilation Technician to join our underground mining team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning of all ventilation systems within the mine, maintaining a safe and healthy environment for all personnel.
Responsibilities:
- Regularly inspect and maintain ventilation equipment, including fans, ducts, and air control devices.
- Monitor air quality and flow rates throughout the mine to ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Troubleshoot and repair ventilation system issues, coordinating with maintenance teams as necessary.
- Assist in the planning and implementation of ventilation system upgrades and expansions.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance activities, and air quality data.
- Participate in safety meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of mine safety protocols.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in mine ventilation or a related field is preferred.
- Strong understanding of ventilation principles and underground mining operations.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong commitment to safety and environmental stewardship.
- Physical ability to work in underground environments, including climbing ladders and working in confined spaces.
