Definition of Work:

This is a varied professional nursing position with responsibility to provide complete nursing care and coordinate activities within the Ambulatory Clinic setting, including, but not limited to Infusion Clinic. The successful candidate must demonstrate an awareness of and be responsible for promoting and supporting person-and family-centered care, demonstrate a commitment to safety and partner with all team members to improve worker and patient safety by integrating safety into work practices, identifying risks and implementing improvements. The successful candidate will collaborate directly with the manager as well as employees to assess, develop, implement and evaluate objectives and policies to ensure effective and efficient service delivery. The successful candidate will promote quality patient care with the implementation and maintenance of evidence based/best practices.

Required qualifications:

*Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing.

*Current registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Newfoundland and Labrador.

*Current BLS certification.

*Minimum three (3) years clinical experience.

*Current Health Assessment certification or must be willing to complete next available course.

*Highly motivated and self-directed individual with well-developed clinical, leadership, interpersonal, communication, team building and organizational skills.

*Demonstrated proficiency with central venous access devices

*Demonstrated sound judgment and decision-making skills.

*A satisfactory record of work performance and attendance is required for this position.

*A satisfactory certificate of conduct from the RCMP or local police authority.
