We're currently seeking a full-time General Labourer to assist with vacation coverage at a Halton Landfill Donation Depot in Milton.
About the Role:
You'll be stationed at the Donation Depot trailer, where members of the public drop off items. Your main responsibility will be to assess donations and determine whether items are suitable for resale in Salvation Army stores. Items not accepted will need to be politely redirected to the landfill garbage area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess incoming donated items
- Provide friendly, respectful customer service
- Log accepted donations using Microsoft Excel
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace
- May be required to work outdoors - enjoy the fresh air!
Requirements:
- Strong customer service skills
- Basic computer skills; Excel experience is a strong asset
- Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors
- Reliable and professional demeanor
Schedule:
- September 2-5 and 8-12 (must be available all dates)
- Saturday shift: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
This is a temporary, full-time position covering vacation absences. Training will be provided.
