Woodframe Superintendent

Location: Northern Territories (relocation assistance available)
Industry: Residential Construction, Townhomes, Multi-Family, and Single-Family Projects

About the Company

Our client is a well-established construction company that has recently secured a large volume of residential work across the Northern Territories. Their projects include townhomes, multi-family developments, and single-family homes, with a strong focus on quality delivery and building communities that last. As part of their growth, they are seeking a Woodframe Superintendent to oversee on-site operations.

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership
  • Oversee day-to-day field operations for woodframe residential projects.

  • Lead and supervise site staff, trades, and subcontractors to ensure project goals are achieved.

  • Ensure adherence to construction schedules, budget, and quality standards.

Site & Safety Management
  • Enforce site safety policies, ensuring compliance with company and regulatory standards.

  • Conduct regular safety meetings, inspections, and corrective actions as needed.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe construction environment.

Scheduling & Coordination
  • Develop and manage site schedules to align with project milestones.

  • Coordinate subcontractors and suppliers to ensure the timely delivery of materials and services.

  • Resolve on-site issues proactively to avoid project delays.

Quality Control
  • Inspect work regularly to ensure compliance with plans, codes, and specifications.

  • Identify deficiencies and manage corrective measures promptly.

  • Uphold a high standard of workmanship throughout all phases of construction.

Stakeholder Communication
  • Report progress to project managers and senior leadership.

  • Maintain strong working relationships with clients, consultants, and inspectors.

  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior site staff.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of superintendent or site management experience, ideally in woodframe residential construction.

  • Proven track record managing townhome, multi-family, and single-family projects.

  • Strong knowledge of building codes, construction practices, and safety regulations.

  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work in remote/northern environments; prior northern project experience an asset.

  • Strong communication and leadership skills to manage diverse site teams.
