About the Company
Our client is a well-established construction company that has recently secured a large volume of residential work across the Northern Territories. Their projects include townhomes, multi-family developments, and single-family homes, with a strong focus on quality delivery and building communities that last. As part of their growth, they are seeking a Woodframe Superintendent to oversee on-site operations.
Key Responsibilities
Project LeadershipOversee day-to-day field operations for woodframe residential projects.
Lead and supervise site staff, trades, and subcontractors to ensure project goals are achieved.
Ensure adherence to construction schedules, budget, and quality standards.
Enforce site safety policies, ensuring compliance with company and regulatory standards.
Conduct regular safety meetings, inspections, and corrective actions as needed.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe construction environment.
Develop and manage site schedules to align with project milestones.
Coordinate subcontractors and suppliers to ensure the timely delivery of materials and services.
Resolve on-site issues proactively to avoid project delays.
Inspect work regularly to ensure compliance with plans, codes, and specifications.
Identify deficiencies and manage corrective measures promptly.
Uphold a high standard of workmanship throughout all phases of construction.
Report progress to project managers and senior leadership.
Maintain strong working relationships with clients, consultants, and inspectors.
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior site staff.
Qualifications
5+ years of superintendent or site management experience, ideally in woodframe residential construction.
Proven track record managing townhome, multi-family, and single-family projects.
Strong knowledge of building codes, construction practices, and safety regulations.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in remote/northern environments; prior northern project experience an asset.
Strong communication and leadership skills to manage diverse site teams.
