A high-energy Recruiter/HR Administrator with proven experience recruiting skilled trades and industrial talent, a magnetic personality, unmatched attention to detail, and a passion for both people and process. Key Responsibilities
- Partner with hiring managers to assess workforce needs and develop proactive recruitment strategies for skilled trades and technical positions.
- Write, post, and manage compelling job ads for niche technical and trade roles using BambooHR and other platforms.
- Actively source passive and active trade talent through job boards, LinkedIn, trade schools, apprenticeships, job fairs, industry associations, and other creative channels.
- Screen, shortlist, and coordinate interviews, ensuring a positive candidate experience from first contact to offer.
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment processfrom job requisition to offer letter, onboarding, and integration for both trades and non-trades roles.
- Maintain and improve our onboarding process using BambooHR, ensuring precision and compliance.
- Act as a brand ambassador, showcasing ICE Westerns culture, values, and opportunities to attract top industry talent.
- Provide training and support for employees and managers on BambooHR functionality.
- Draft internal announcements, welcome communications, and HR memos with a professional and engaging tone.
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation and hiring best practices.
- Support general HR administration, employee records, and site coordination across our two Calgary facilities.
What You Bring to the Table
- Diploma or degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 2 years of full-cycle recruitment experience in a skilled trades or industrial manufacturing environment (HVAC, fabrication, welding, electrical, mechanical, or similar).
- Strong track record in sourcing hard-to-find trade candidates and building talent pipelines.
- Exceptional organization skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Confident communicator with the ability to engage all personality types and levels of seniority.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with BambooHR or similar HRIS platforms is a strong asset.
- Valid drivers license and ability to travel between local sites (within 10 minutes of each other).
