What Are We Looking For?
We're seeking a STEM Coach, an energetic individual with an engaging personality who believes in our philosophy of learning and innovating in a fun environment. Someone who can guide older students (ages 7–16) through advanced robotics builds, programming, and competitions.
If you have a passion for technology enjoy mentoring teens as they tackle design and programming challenges, you could be a great fit! Selected candidates will undergo training on our curriculum
Requirements
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Positive, energetic, and able to work independently
- Experience working with kids aged 7-16yrs
- Reliable, responsible, and able to manage a small group of students
- Skilled at creatively constructing mechanical systems using modular robotics kit
- Background in science, technology, or engineering preferred.
- Knowledge in building and programming LEGO robotics kits (WeDo/Spike Prime) is a plus
- Comfort using Scratch programming for simple games and animations
- Knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Python, and/or Java
- Participation in FIRST Competitions (FLL/FRC) , VEX Robotics Competitions, or WRO is a big advantage
- Ability to troubleshoot and assist students with their programs in a fast-paced environment
- Pre-employment background check required
Responsibilities Include
- Teach advanced robotics lessons using Zebra's proven curriculum
- Guide students through design, building, and programming challenges
- Help students create websites, games, and interactive projects
- Mentor and prepare students for robotics competitions (FLL, VEX, WRO)
- Track progress and share regular feedback with students and parents
Timing
Evening programs: 4:30 PM to 8:30 PM Tuesday–Friday
Saturday programs: 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM
