The Family Success Facilitator is responsible for managing the City Centre Family Resource Network Hub. The Hub is responsible for system navigation between our 7 spoke programs; 5 spokes are other agencies within the community. The Family Success Facilitator provides client centered, trauma informed support for families who want to access services within the community. Through an intake process and the sharing of the FRN resources, the Family Success Facilitator connects families to services within and out of our network to ensure the family's needs are met. The Family Success Facilitator promotes the FRN and its spokes within the community to help make our services visible. By attending community events, hosting events and the writing of monthly newsletters, the Family Success Facilitator is the ambassador of the FRN.

This is a 6-month term contract position, working 37.5 hours per week with occasional evening hours to meet client needs. The role follows a hybrid work model, is based in an open-space workstation, and offers flexibility with supervisor approval.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Manage the Hub phone line and email inbox.
  • Respond to all inquiries in a timely manner (within 48 hours).
  • Provide professional, trauma informed customer service to assess family's needs.
  • Support families in system navigation – both within our internal spokes and external agencies.
  • Liaise and collaborate with community spokes, Family Resource Networks and community agencies to ensure clear understanding of resources available to families and how families access these resources.
  • Promote and bring awareness of the FRN by attending community events, hosting events, and/or doing outreach within the community on a regular basis.
  • Intakes in both Penelope and the Tracker.
  • Track referrals to both internal and external support.
  • Complete a monthly newsletter.
  • Connect with community resources the range from basic need support to intensive support.
  • Foster and contribute to a culture of inclusion and equity in a diverse work environment; understand and recognize that individual differences significantly contribute to YW Calgary's success.
  • Understand YW Calgary's Health, Safety and Wellness (HS&W) policies, practices and protocols; ensure work is performed safely and in alignment with YW's HS&W culture.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

  • Certificate, Diploma or Degree in Child and Youth Care, Social Work, and/or Human Services related.
  • Knowledge of local service agencies, systems navigation, and referral processes.
  • Understanding of trauma informed practice, strength-based, evidence-based practice, and client centered approach and how to use these in practice.
  • Exemplary understanding of child development.
  • Knowledge and passion for data driven program delivery and impact.
  • Able to develop creative and innovative programs.
  • Strong facilitation skills, both in-person and virtually.
  • Contributes to team development; is open to constructive feedback and learning.
  • Skilled at working collaboratively with a diverse team and across teams and stakeholders.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills; able to build rapport quickly with new and existing participants.
