Position Overview:You will be part of a team responsible for day-to-day IT support and maintenance activities at Regina International Airport including incident resolution, hardware/system upgrades, software troubleshooting, software updates, project work, and preventative maintenance on all airport owned equipment. You will also act as an escalation point for Level 1 technicians in the resolution of difficult incidents and service requests, in addition to providing guidance, coaching, and assistance.


This is a full-time, salaried position with company benefits. The Airport Systems Support Technician Level 2 will work 10-hour days, 4 days a week (totaling 40 hours) by way of rotational shifts which cover the airport operation 18/7/365. The successful candidate will be flexible to work morning or afternoon shifts as well as weekdays and weekends when required.

Qualifications:

  • Recognized technical experience with A+, Microsoft, CISCO certification or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of relevant applications such as MS Office Suite.
  • Experience supporting VOIP Systems, Access Control and CCTV Systems is an advantage.
  • Familiar with basic concepts of LAN/WAN equipment.
  • Experience of all the above within a site-based customer service environment.
  • Demonstrated focus on customer service.

Education and Certification:

  • High School Diploma, Post Secondary Education, and/or minimum three (3) years of relevant experience
  • CompTIA A+, Network+ Preferred
  • Windows Servers certifications advantageous.
  • Competent in hands on computer hardware repair and maintenance.

Personal Attributes:

  • Friendly and personable with good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks on time.
  • Self-motivated and self-directed.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs. if required.
  • Keen attention to details.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Valid drivers license.
