El Tigre, RF and Whitetail Farms, located near Niverville MB, is currently seeking a full time Maintenance Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing all day to day maintenance support for our farrow to wean swine barns.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

* preventive maintenance on generators, pumps and washers; intallation/repair of feedlines and waterlines; inspect, install/repair of pen or crate flooring; operation of hand and power tools; basic welding of crates, pens and stalls; knowledge of ESF feed systems and environment controls; general maintenance and cleaning of all work areas; make adjustments and minor repairs to ventilation, plumbing and electrical systems and contacting contractors for major repairs; troubleshoot issues related to equipment; perform safety checks through all barns; provide recommendations for improvements; organize and maintain all tool and equipment inventory; incorporate biosecurity measures into daily operations as per company policies

The successful candidate will possess the following:

*2 to 3 years general maintenance experience in the agriculture sector; ability to work in hog barns; valid driver's license and able to travel to and from work; attention to detail; able to lift up to 25kgs; motivated, good communicator, and work as part of a team; knowledge of health and safety regulations; willingness to learn skills and techniques related to the job; positive attitude and a strong work ethic; must be able to work in Canada
