The Contract Analyst position is an in-office role located in the Greater Vancouver area and reports directly to the Lead Administrator.
The Contract Analyst supports the effective administration and performance management of the BC Hydro Agreement. This role is responsible for analyzing contract data, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs), supporting compliance and audit readiness, and preparing reports that inform operational and strategic decision-making under the Master Services Agreement (MSA). The Contract Analyst reports to Lead Administrator and works closely with the Contract Manager and Operations Manager to ensure that financial, operational, and compliance data is accurate, timely, and actionable.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Monitor and analyze contract KPIs, service levels, and deliverables in accordance with MSA.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual performance reports, including the Performance Monitoring Report and Continuous Improvement Reports.
- Support the development of Performance Action Plans and track progress against corrective actions.
- Analyze financial, operational, and supplier data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Assist in the preparation of the Monthly Operations Report and ensure alignment with MSA reporting requirements.
- Maintain data integrity across JD Edwards (JDE), the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), and SharePoint.
- Support the development and maintenance of dashboards, scorecards, and reporting templates for internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist in root cause analysis for performance issues and support the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional team members including the Procurement Officer, HSE & QA Manager, Energy Lead, Senior Project Manager, Operations Manager, and Lead Administrator to support integrated service delivery, performance tracking, and contract compliance.
- Contribute to the development and tracking of the Indigenous Engagement Progress Report and other reporting obligations under MSA

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Diploma or degree in Business Analytics, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- 24 years of experience in contract analysis, performance reporting, or data analytics.
- Experience in facilities management, utilities, or public sector contracts is an asset.
SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on data accuracy and integrity.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI (or similar), and CMMS platforms such as JD Edwards.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Familiarity with contract compliance, audit preparation, and performance frameworks.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
The expected salary range for this role is between $62,000-72,000. The starting salary will be based on several factors such as the successful candidate's qualifications, including but not limited to education and experience. Salary is one component of Black & McDonald's total rewards package.
