Garden City Tree & Landscape Ltd. is looking for experienced and motivated Landscape Maintenance Technicians to join our team. If youve got at least 2 years of landscaping experience and enjoy working outdoors in a team environment, wed love to hear from you.

This is a hands-on role maintaining residential and commercial properties throughout Greater Victoria, with opportunities to grow your skills and career in the green industry.

What Youll Be Doing:

• Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, weeding, garden bed care, and pruning trees and shrubs.
• Use ladders confidently and safely to prune trees and access elevated areas.
• Operate and maintain commercial landscaping equipment (mowers, blowers, hedgers, etc.).
• Identify and care for a wide variety of plant materials.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site.
• Communicate effectively with team members.
• Assist other divisions when needed.
• Take part inwinter work, including anti-ice and snow removal.
  

What Were Looking For:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in landscape maintenance.
• Valid Class 5 drivers license is a requirement.
• Identify plants and understand their care requirements throughout the seasons.
• Confident using ladders and working at height for tree pruning and elevated tasks.
• Familiarity with landscape tools and equipment.
• Physically fit and able to work outdoors year-round.
• Willingness to learn, take initiative, and deliver quality work.
• Strong team player with good communication skills
  
• First Aid, Fall Protection, or Horticulture training is an asset.

Compensation

$23-$28 per hour depending on skills and experience.

Schedule:

• Regular: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
• Seasonal Hours (May 12 to September 28, 2025):
  Monday to Thursday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM

Work Location:
Different Greater Victoria work sites.
