Senior Landscape Construction Estimator
Garden City Tree & Landscape Ltd. is hiring an experienced Estimator to support our growing portfolio of commercial and residential landscape construction projects. This is a key role responsible not only for producing accurate and competitive cost estimates, but also for helping grow the business by fostering relationships with current and potential clients and building a strong pipeline of work.
We're looking for an experienced estimator with at least 5 years of proven estimating experience, preferably in landscape construction or a related construction trade.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for all phases of landscape construction projects including excavation, grading, hardscape, irrigation, planting, lighting, and site furnishings.
- Interpret construction drawings, specifications, and take-offs using software such as PlanSwift or Bluebeam.
- Source pricing from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure accurate and competitive bids.
- Submit timely and professional bids; track and follow up on bid results.
- Collaborate closely with project manager, field teams, and finance to align budgets and schedules with project goals.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, general contractors, developers, and other key partners.
- Proactively identify and pursue bid opportunities, RFQs, and negotiated projects to help grow revenue.
- Maintain and manage a pipeline of upcoming work, supporting business development strategies.
- Analyze post-project costs and performance to improve accuracy of future estimates.
- Support the company on their snow and anti ice -operations.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in estimating, preferably in landscape construction, civil works, or general construction.
- Strong understanding of landscape construction methods and materials.
- Proficient in digital estimating software such asPlanSwift, Bluebeam, or similar tools.
- Excellent reading and interpretation skills for construction drawings and specifications.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build client trust and represent the company professionally.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and analytical, with strong math and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office and cloud-based tools (PDF markups, Excel spreadsheets)
- Experience using LMN software is an asset
- Valid Class 5 BC drivers license.

Working Conditions :
- The Commercial Estimator will work primarily in an office environment but will need to conduct site visits as required to gather information for estimates.

Wages: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour, based on experience and preferred qualifications.
