Commercial Litigation Associate Mid-Level

A well-established and respected law firm in Southern Ontario (Waterloo Region) is seeking a skilled commercial litigator with 4-10 years of experience to join its growing litigation team. This is a strategic opportunity to work on high-impact disputes for a broad range of clients, from innovative startups and multigenerational family businesses to large public companies operating across Canada and internationally.

Key Focus Areas:

• Breach of contract and business torts
• Shareholder and partnership disputes
• Commercial lease and real estate-related litigation
• Secured creditor enforcement, collections, and mortgage enforcement
• Priority issues and insolvency-related disputes
• Property-related and regulatory disputes

Youll work alongside seasoned litigators and collaborate cross-functionally with lawyers in business law, real estate, and estate planning to offer clients strategic, full-spectrum guidance on multifaceted disputes.

What Theyre Looking For:

• 4-10+ years of commercial litigation experience, ideally with exposure to both trial and pre-trial phases
• Strong written and oral advocacy skills, with experience appearing before courts or tribunals
• Ability to lead files independently and also work collaboratively on larger matters
• Strategic thinker with a practical, solutions-driven approach to complex disputes
• Interest in contributing to the firms long-term growth and client service excellence
