Job Overview:
As the Area Production Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the production operations in our Calgary facility. You will work closely with the production team to ensure that all manufacturing processes are running efficiently and meeting quality standards. In this role, you will also be responsible for managing a team of production supervisors and providing leadership and guidance to ensure the success of our production operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the production operations in the Calgary facility, including scheduling, resource planning, and quality control.
- Manage a team of production supervisors, providing direction, coaching, and support to ensure the team's success.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, purchasing, and logistics, to ensure smooth production flow and timely delivery of products.
- Monitor production processes and identify opportunities for improvement to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
- Develop and implement production plans and strategies to meet production targets and customer demands.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards and regulations.
- Monitor and analyze production data to identify trends and make data-driven decisions.
- Manage inventory levels and work closely with the supply chain team to optimize inventory levels and reduce waste.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, and internal teams.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a production management role.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality control standards.
- Experience with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies is an asset.
