Salary range: $62,464 to $93,167
Shift structure: Monday to Friday, 7.25 hours per day
Primary location: CASA Centre

About the Role
The Medical Affairs Coordinator plays a crucial role in supporting the Medical Affairs Office both administratively and operationally. This includes coordinating medical information, facilitating communication, managing documentation and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The Coordinator works closely with internal teams, external careholders, and health-care professionals to ensure smooth and efficient processes within the Medical Affairs Office, including physician recruitment, onboarding, development and remuneration.
The Medical Affairs Coordinator will:
  • Assist the Director, Medical in establishing and maintaining operational and physical infrastructure of the Medical Affairs Office.
  • Manage strategic careholder relationships through maintaining positive and supportive working relationships internal and external to the organization.
  • Support full-cycle physician recruitment, in collaboration with internal departments, including preparing job postings, completing reference checks, credentialing packages, orientation and onboarding and maintenance of personnel files.
  • Act as an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) superuser to ensure effective utilization and exceptional support to physicians.
  • Coordinate the Medical Director's email inbox, calendar, schedule, prioritize appointments and resolve scheduling conflicts and prepare related documents, including relevant background materials, in preparation for meetings and presentations.
  • Support the review and revision of medical by-laws as directed by the Director.
  • Schedule, prepare packages and meeting minutes for medical staff meetings.
Qualifications
  • Post-secondary degree in business, health administration or equivalent. A combination of education and experience will be considered on a one-to-one basis.
  • At least five years of progressive experience in health administration, including medical affairs or corporate administration.
  • Project management training or experience would be an asset.
  • Experience within a medical affairs/physician environment, in hospital or health-care setting, working with physicians and medical leadership groups.
  • Knowledge of children's mental health service delivery as well as related services such as child intervention services, addictions, family therapy and group therapy would be an asset.
  • Excellent communication (written, verbal and listening), customer-facing and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills. Demonstrated ability to take initiative, prioritize, multitask and navigate shifting priorities as needed.
  • Experience with developing processes and procedures.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and perform tasks accurately with attention to detail, as well as a collaborative member of the team.
