Account Manager
Our client is searching for an Account Manager to join their team. This role will focus on demonstrating initiative and a positive professional attitude and manner. A successful candidate will have a desire to improve themselves and advance within the company. This role reports directly to the Branch Manager.
Your success will be defined by your ability to:
  • Contact current and prospective clients to identify their need for existing and new products
  • Respond to and process incoming calls and orders
  • Open new accounts and maintain existing customer base
  • Make proactive outbound calls
  • Maintain a knowledge base on current products and learn about new products
  • Provide pricing quotations and follow-up on quotes
  • Provide base technical support on products
  • Build strong relationships for repeat opportunities
  • Ability to liaise with suppliers on project and non-stocking product opportunities
Your strengths include:
  • Post Secondary Education
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel
  • Previous Sales or Inside Sales experience in the Canadian Electrical Industry is required
  • Superior interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to develop long-term client relationships
  • A highly professional approach to business
  • Exceptional organization skills, ability to multitask and a keen eye for detail
  • Technically proficient to quickly learn and understand products
  • Ability to develop quotations and project bid packaging, pricing and presentations
  • Knowledge of the electrical industry would be an asset
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed and a sense of team spirit
