Job Summary:
Were seeking a Data Analyst Intern (Co-op) to join a mission-driven team working to improve how we operate behind the scenes so we can better serve our goals. In this co-op, you'll take the lead on implementing tools and systems recommended by a preceding Business Analyst. Youll help translate strategy into action by setting up tools, streamlining workflows, supporting user adoption, and collecting feedback for continuous improvement.

You will work with both the Productivity Team at Calgary Economic Development and the Opportunity Calgary Investment Fund (OCIF) team.The Opportunity Calgary Investment Fund (OCIF) helps ensure our shared future by finding opportunities, funding those opportunities, and fostering economic success for the benefit of all Calgarians.

The individual applying must be eligible for the TECHNATION Career Ready Program

This is a 12-16 week Term. (Fall 2025 - Mid-August to December)

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and configure tools (e.g., project management, dashboards, automations)
• Work with teams to customize systems based on their needs
• Support staff training and documentation for tool adoption
• Collect feedback and optimize solutions to improve efficiency
• Help track the early impact of these changes
  

Whats in it for you:

• Experience with tools like WizeHive, PowerBI, Google Notebook, Microsoft CoPilot, Dynamics 365, Big Query, and Monday.com

Qualifications:

• Enrolled in a co-op program in a related field (e.g., data science, business analytics, information systems)
• Strong interest in systems, tools, and improving how teams work
• Tech-savvy and curious, with a collaborative mindset
• Experience with relevant platforms is an asset, but not required

TECHNATION Career Ready Program Eligibility:

• Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment;
  
• Enrolled in a program at an accredited Canadian Post-Secondary Institution
• Pursuing a tech-immersive career (you can still be a student studying arts, business/marketing etc.
• International students are not eligible participants.
