Plant Manager - $90K-$95K yr
On behalf of our Durham Region manufacturing client, we're recruiting a Plant Manager. The position involves working on the floor managing the production lines and directly reporting to the General Manager. Your responsibilities will include production planning, staff scheduling, data collecting and analysis, and coordinating daily production requirements as well as interacting with customers on-site.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain daily workflow for staff according to the production plan.
- Work closely with focus on quality and ensure quality standards are satisfied.
- Maintain a significant information flow in the workplace.
- Ensure production counts are accurate.
- Participate in workplace safety and health program. Ensure safety procedures are followed and make recommendations regarding workplace protection.
· Communicate with General Manager regularly on production, staffing and client related items.
· Ensure shifts are organized with any special requirements and requests.
· Review, understand, and ensure all operations procedures are followed, serving as a role model to ensure all staffs' compliance. Recommend improvements to procedures.
- Oversee all levels of staff activity and performance.
- Develop processes to increase productivity and enhance performance.
- Ensure company policies and procedures are always followed.
- Screen, interview and manage the onboarding process of new employees.
- Provide training and educational materials to staff as necessary.
- Monitor equipment to ensure that they are clean and kept in working order.
- Help assist in equipment operation.
- Ensure the health and safety of all employees and visitors, including producers, drivers and other business partners.
- Oversee the shipping and receiving of inventory and accuracy of orders.
- Develop a culture that fosters positive working relationships within the facility.
- Other responsibilities as required.
Hours of Operations:
8am-5pm Monday to Friday
Compensation & Benefits:
· Salary - $90-$95K
· Medical benefits after three months
· Three weeks vacation annually
Qualifications:
· Hydraulic fundamental knowledge
· Mechanically inclined
· Minium of 5 years experience as a Plant manager
· Strong and relatable customer service experience
· Being Bi-lingual is an asset
