Job Description

Our client, one of the fastest growing manufacturers in the London area, a Cakes and Pastries facilities is looking to add an Electrician (Maintenance Technician II) to their team. This person will be required to obtain their Refrigeration B ticket and the salary will reflect this new certification once it is obtained.

This position is ideal for an experienced maintenance personnel with expertise in electrical systems and production equipment who is seeking a team-oriented work environment to support all plant departments. This person will report into the Maintenance Supervisor.

Electrician (Maintenance Technician) details:

· 12-hour continental shift, rotating every 2 weeks (the shift runs from 6:30am to 6:30pm and 6:30pm – 6:30am) Sunday to Saturday

· $44.61/hr starting in June.

o plus 0.75 shift premium for any hours worked between 7pm-5am

· $47.42 full rate once B ticket is obtained. In June.

· 2 weeks vacation

· 3% RRSP match

Electrician Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain all mechanic equipment throughout the plant.
  • Performing routine preventative maintenance and troubleshooting and repairing food
  • processing equipment.
  • Participating in continuous improvements including the installation and
  • commissioning of new equipment and machinery.
  • Troubleshoot electrical failures and identify root cause
  • Record readings from equipment in the logbook
  • Perform routine duties in the mechanical rooms
  • Perform Daily or Nightly rounds of equipment and systems and record readings on the Rounds Cards
  • Participate in all departmental training programs
  • Ensure that maintenance reports and logs are completed in a timely and accurate manner in order to facilitate effective maintenance planning and management.

Electrician Requirements:

· 442A or 309A required

· Experience working as a maintenance technician within fast paced food or pharmaceutical manufacturing

· Must be willing to obtain in-house Class “B” Refrigeration Operator license

· Strong communication and collaboration skills, demonstrated reliability with an excellent attendance record required.
