Overall Responsibility

The successful candidate will be responsible for installing or dismantling machinery and repairing malfunctioning equipment according to company plans in our Orillia location, a vibrant community offering a perfect blend of work-life balance.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Interpret blueprints and schematics to determine work procedures.
  • Repair any problems associated with equipment.
  • Fabricate new machine parts if original parts are missing or damaged.
  • Identify and correct any problems found in machines, equipment, or processes in order to facilitate production.
  • Ensure that safety policies, quality standards, and standard operating procedures are followed.
  • Perform preventative maintenance once the machines and equipment are put into operation.
  • Complete all paperwork as required.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with local, national, and international standards and legislation.
  • Demonstrate awareness of and follow all food safety policies.
  • Follow the requirements defined by the client and Orillia's QMS.
  • Support key departmental objectives and our QMS.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Experience Required
  • Completion of grade 12 or equivalent.
  • Completion of a 4-year apprenticeship program.
  • Government skilled trade certification.
  • Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, and fabricating.

This position offers a 10-hour rotation with day shifts. Enjoy biweekly pay and overtime after 80 hours in a two-week period.
