Job Overview

At Evans Hunt, our mission is to execute projects seamlessly from project intake to launch for clients of all sizes across different industries and marketing needs. We are currently looking for an experienced Resource Manager who will be responsible for effectively managing the allocation and utilization of our human resources across all projects. The Resource Manager will ensure that our teams are optimized and that projects are staffed appropriately to meet client needs while balancing workloads and capacity.

Who We're Looking For

As part of the Operations team, the ideal candidate for the Resource Manager role will check off the boxes below.

  • You have a proven track record of successful resource management. You have 35 years of experience in resource or traffic management within an agency or similar environment. You're skilled at balancing resource demands with availability and have a strong understanding of agency workflows.
  • You have excellent organizational and analytical skills. You can assess project requirements and match them with the appropriate team members, optimizing for efficiency and expertise. You're proficient at tracking and analyzing resource utilization data to inform decision-making.
  • You're a proactive communicator. You excel at collaborating with project managers, department leads, and team members to understand resource needs and constraints. You can anticipate potential resource conflicts and address them before they become issues.
  • You use technology to do your best work. You have extensive experience with resource management tools and software such as Netsuite/Open Air or similar platforms. You're proficient with the Google Suite (Mail, Calendar, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides) and other productivity tools like MS Excel, MS Word, and Keynote.

A Day in the Life

Working at an agency, you'll have the opportunity to collaborate with various teams across a diverse range of projects simultaneously. As a Resource Manager, these activities will likely take up most of your time:

  • Managing and optimizing the allocation of human resources across all projects to ensure efficient utilization.
  • Collaborating with project managers and department leads to understand project requirements and resource needs.
  • Monitoring team members' availability and proactively identifying and addressing potential resource shortages or surpluses.
  • Facilitating the reallocation of resources when projects are delayed or when resources become unexpectedly available, ensuring staff time is effectively utilized.
  • Maintaining a centralized resource schedule and ensuring it is up-to-date with current and future project assignments.
  • Analyzing resource utilization data and generating reports to inform leadership about capacity planning and hiring needs.
  • Support the intake of resourcing requests, and collaborate with department leads to ensure the right team is assigned to support the client client work.
  • Assisting in the onboarding of new team members and facilitating cross-functional training opportunities to enhance team flexibility.
  • Contributing to the development and improvement of resource management processes and tools.
  • Facilitate team enablement by managing software access, maintaining up-to-date documentation, and ensuring teams have the tools and resources needed for optimal performance.
  • Creating a positive, collaborative, and team-oriented work environment.
