We provide them with supplies, services and advice to help get the job done right. We're looking for new main counter salespeople and we hope our search ends with you. Retail Sales Representative: The most important part of your job will be helping customers. Along with a team of fellow salespeople, you'll spend most of each day guiding customers to their finish lines using your industry knowledge and superb customer service skills. When you're not helping customers, you'll be a great teammate. You'll design and build in-store displays, pitch in with inventory, keep the store tidy, and help ring people through. This is a big store, so there's always work to be done. We have a helpful team, and many hands make light work. You'll succeed here because you are: * Detail-oriented – your thoroughness avoids costly mistakes and builds trust with customers and coworkers. * A strong communicator – you listen carefully and can handle different personality types, adjusting your style to suit the customer. * Creative – you can help people find solutions that fit their budget and specific needs. Ultimately, we're hoping that you'll be able to sell our larger packages, like building materials, doors or windows, and manage that customer relationship until their job is complete. Working at Valley Building Supplies: This is a full-time, permanent position at our store on the outskirts of Powell River. You'll work from 8am-5pm, or 7am – 5pm Monday to Friday. You'll never work weekends, and there's flexibility around hours when needed. You'll start at a competitive wage. Bonuses are available based on individual and store performance.
