Corporate Controller

Position Overview:
A dynamic and growth-focused organization has partnered with Lambert Nemec Group in the recruitment of a Corporate Controller. Reporting to the senior finance executive, the successful candidate will take ownership of financial operations, ensure timely and accurate reporting, support strategic decision-making, and lead a team committed to continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership and mentorship to the finance team to promote efficiency and accountability
• Manage budgeting and forecasting cycles, delivering financial insights to support strategic goals
• Coordinate internal reporting and compliance activities, ensuring adherence to accounting standards
• Lead month-end and year-end close processes, including preparation of internal financial statements and working papers for external review
• Analyze financial performance and recommend enhancements to improve cost controls and efficiency
• Contribute to systems and process improvements, including involvement in system upgrades and integrations.
• Oversee daily accounting functions of multiple locations across Canada.
• Provide detailed product cost and margin analysis to support operational decision-making
• Evaluate capital expenditures and monitor financial impact of investment initiatives
• Support audits, tax filings, and ensure regulatory compliance
• Take on other finance-related responsibilities as required

Requirements:

• A Canadian Professional Accounting Designation (CPA – CA, CMA, CGA)
• Advanced Excel skills with strong ERP system experience
• Proven team leadership and coaching experience
• High level of accuracy, critical thinking, and analytical ability
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• 8 plus years experience in manufacturing
