Lambert Nemec Group, Manitoba's Premier Specialized Recruitment Firm has been engaged by our client, currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Accounting Manager in the Not-for-Profit sector. The Accounting Manager is responsible for leading a team of junior accountants. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in financial reporting and monthly accounting.

Responsibilities:

The responsibilities of the Accounting Manager will include:

• Prepare & review financial and management reporting.
• Produce variance analysis reports.
• Develop and improve upon financial performance monitoring.
• Provide recommendations to department leaders and executive to improve financial performance execution on key areas.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures.

Requirements:

• A professional accounting designation CPA (CA, CGA, CMA)
• 1 - 3 years of accounting experience including ad hoc reporting and forecasting.
• Advanced software skills including MS Excel.
• Proven interpersonal and communication skills to develop internal relationships with multiple stakeholders.
• Exceptional organizational and multi-tasking skills
• A background from public practice would be an asset
