Our client, a reputable and growing ICI (Industrial, Commercial, Institutional) construction company based in Burlington, Ontario, is actively seeking a Senior Estimator to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced estimator looking to take ownership of the tendering process on a wide range of new construction and renovation projects across the ICI sector.

Key Responsibilities:
Prepare full-cycle tender packages for ICI construction projects including new builds, interior/exterior renovations, and additions.
Analyze drawings, specifications, and project requirements to develop accurate cost estimates.
Coordinate with consultants, architects, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather and validate pricing and scope information.
Lead and manage the pre-construction and estimating process from concept through to final bid submission.
Conduct site visits (when required) to better understand project conditions and requirements.
Evaluate and assess risk, cost factors, and constructability during the tender process.
Compile detailed take-offs, budgets, and pricing breakdowns using estimating software.
Participate in value engineering exercises and provide strategic input to increase project competitiveness and efficiency.
Track historical data and maintain a well-organized database of unit costs, project results, and vendor pricing.
Support and mentor junior estimators and collaborate cross-functionally with project management and operations teams.
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of estimating experience within the ICI construction sector.
Proven experience preparing tender submissions for both new builds and renovation projects.
Solid knowledge of construction means and methods, contract documents, and industry practices.
Proficiency with estimating software such as Sage Estimating, PlanSwift, Bluebeam, or equivalent tools.
Exceptional numerical accuracy and analytical thinking.
Strong communication and negotiation skills when working with subcontractors, clients, and internal teams.
Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and deliverables in a fast-paced environment.
Post-secondary education in Construction Management, Civil Engineering Technology, or a related field is preferred.
