Trust Accounting Clerk

Our client, a boutique commercial real estate law firm located in downtown Vancouver, is seeking a full-time Trust Accounting Clerk.

The firm offers a competitive compensation package, including:

• Annual salary of $58,000 to $73,000, depending on experience
• Comprehensive benefits
• Participation in a deferred profit-sharing plan
• One work-from-home day per week

• Processing a high volume of trust cheques and deposits
• Maintaining investment accounts with major financial institutions
• Coordinating real estate closings and related payouts
• Preparing and posting wire and EFT payments and trust transfers
• Performing monthly trust account reconciliations
• Tracking and submitting quarterly Trust Administration Fee (TAF) remittances
• Maintaining accurate, well-organized digital and physical records
• Ensuring compliance with internal policies and Law Society trust accounting rules
• Assisting with special projects and process improvements
• Performing additional accounting tasks as needed
• Qualifications
• Post-secondary education in accounting or equivalent work experience
• At least 1 year of accounting experience in a law firm or professional services environment
• Strong understanding of trust accounting procedures and relevant compliance requirements
• Experience with PC Law and/or Soluno is considered an asset
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Detail-oriented, highly organized, and efficient in data entry
• Able to prioritize tasks and work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Willingness to take initiative and assume increased responsibility over time
