Job Summary:

• We are seeking a skilled and collaborative Cloud Data & BI Developer to join our data team and play a key role in the design, development, and support of cloud-based data pipelines and business intelligence solutions.
• You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, data architects, engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to drive data transformation, reporting innovation, and the implementation of the client's modern data platform.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and optimize robust data pipelines to extract, load, and transform (ELT) data from diverse sources into cloud-based data lakes and data warehouses.
• Design and implement cloud-native data processing workflows that are scalable, efficient, and secure.
• Build end-user facing Power BI Dashboards, Reports, and Paginated Reports that translate complex business requirements into clear and actionable insights.
• Support business users with training, debugging, root-cause analysis, and consultation related to reporting and data visualization concerns.
• Collaborate with developers, architects, and analysts to design scalable data models and products aligned with enterprise architecture.
• Lead and support the transition from legacy data systems to the AIMCo modern data platform, including data migration and transformation.
• Troubleshoot performance issues, optimize complex queries, and maintain data integrity across platforms.
• Promote data literacy by coaching teams on best practices for data usage, visualization, and analytics tools.
• Contribute to DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, version control, and automated testing for reliable data product deployments.
• Work in an Agile Scrum team, participating in sprint planning, reviews, and daily stand-ups.

Mandatory Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience designing and developing data pipelines using technologies such as Azure Databricks (preferred), PySpark, and Python.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience with Power BI, including Power BI Desktop and Report Builder; experience with both Pro and Premium capacities is preferred.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services and cloud-native data architecture.
• Proficient in Python and SQL, with a strong understanding of software engineering principles such as testing, code reviews, and deployment.
• Experience working with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines in a data environment.
• Proven track record working in cross-functional Agile Scrum teams.

Desirable Experience (Assets):

• Experience with dimensional data modeling and data transformation frameworks such as dbt.
• Hands-on experience with cloud migrations, particularly migrating on-premise SQL databases and data marts to Azure Databricks.
• Exposure to modern data lakehouse architectures and enterprise-scale reporting platforms.
