We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Construction Administrator / Inspector to join our team
Location: Halifax, NSTiming: 7am-4pmPay Rate: $21-$24/hrKey Responsibilities:
  • Supporting day-to-day operations by performing administrative tasks for manager, department, or team.
  • Answering telephone calls and taking messages for manager, department, or team members.
  • Plan, direct and control daily operations
  • Establish and implement policies and procedures with the staff onsite
  • Manage daily sign in/out of staff working onsite.
  • Compile data, statistics and other information
  • Greet people and direct them to contacts or service areas
  • Set up and maintain manual and computerized information filing systems
  • Type and proofread correspondence, forms and other documents
  • Perform data entry
What We Are Looking For:
  • Previous experience in an administrative or office support role.
  • Someone outgoing, confident, and overall pleasant—someone who is comfortable working at construction onsite.
  • Experience with Autodesk is an asset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including professional email and phone etiquette.
  • Experience working with contractors, site staff, and managing daily logs.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a positive attitude and adapt to a dynamic office environment.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must have CSA approved safety shoes
  • One or more years' experience with construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related field
