Location: Halifax, NSTiming: 7am-4pmPay Rate: $21-$24/hrKey Responsibilities:
- Supporting day-to-day operations by performing administrative tasks for manager, department, or team.
- Answering telephone calls and taking messages for manager, department, or team members.
- Plan, direct and control daily operations
- Establish and implement policies and procedures with the staff onsite
- Manage daily sign in/out of staff working onsite.
- Compile data, statistics and other information
- Greet people and direct them to contacts or service areas
- Set up and maintain manual and computerized information filing systems
- Type and proofread correspondence, forms and other documents
- Perform data entry
- Previous experience in an administrative or office support role.
- Someone outgoing, confident, and overall pleasant—someone who is comfortable working at construction onsite.
- Experience with Autodesk is an asset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including professional email and phone etiquette.
- Experience working with contractors, site staff, and managing daily logs.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a positive attitude and adapt to a dynamic office environment.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must have CSA approved safety shoes
- One or more years' experience with construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related field
