Executive

The Senior Systems Engineer will be responsible for leading the design, build, and maintenance of our client's corporate IT infrastructure and ensuring its health and availability. The qualified candidate will be part of a small IT team and will help establish best practices and approaches to support our client as they scale and modernize.

What You'll Do:

  • Administer and optimize the Microsoft 365 tenant, ensuring streamlined processes, automated workflows, robust cybersecurity measures (IAM), and efficient storage solutions.
  • Manage and fine-tune their cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS) to align resources with organizational demands and maximize performance.
  • Engineer and oversee a Meraki-based wide area network across multiple separate locations.
  • Supervise the network Managed Service Provider (MSP) to maintain peak network functionality and facilitate the integration of new capabilities from ongoing projects.
  • Oversee DNS configuration, ensuring quick resolution to our client's resources, and maintain top reputational scores by regularly reviewing and adjusting DNS settings. This includes managing multiple services for outbound communications to staff, customers, and prospects.
  • Manage the lifecycle of tablet devices (iOS, Android), implementing MDM solutions for acquisition, registration, and retirement processes.
  • Support in the creation and enforcement of a unified technology framework for all sites, covering laptops, desktops, POS systems, VOIP hardware, surveillance cameras, audio/visual equipment and access control systems and ensure proper network setup to segregate and prioritize traffic.
  • Solve intricate technical issues, serving as the Incident Manager during significant system disruptions, and mobilizing resources to identify and rectify problems.
  • Communicate promptly with stakeholders and leadership, providing updates and escalating issues as necessary.
  • Embed cybersecurity principles in managing the I&O domain, setting up comprehensive reporting and alert systems.
  • Help develop and implement a structured release and change management protocol, planning and assessing proposed system modifications, and collaborating with MSPs and software vendors to safeguard our client's system integrity.

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related discipline
  • 10+ years of infrastructure design, delivery and management experience
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft 365 (Admin, Exchange, Entra, Intune), Azure, and PC OS
  • Advanced skills in PowerShell scripting for Microsoft 365 management, data integration workflows, and automated administrative functions
  • Deep understanding of DNS configuration and management
  • Possess relevant certifications in Microsoft 365, Azure cloud services, and Cisco technologies
  • Strong communication and highly resourceful with excellent problem-solving skills
