A-1 Cement is seeking a concrete repair technician. A skilled tradesperson with knowledge and experience in concrete repair, concrete cutting and breaking out.

Since 1956, A-1 Cement has been a leader in concrete flatworks and gravel services. Who you are

• You are experienced in the concrete industry and have a wide variety of trade experience.
• You have experience with many types of concrete repair including patching, skimming, resurfacing.
• You have a great understanding of residential construction practices and quality standards.
• You are professional, personable, and strive to provide high quality work.
• You must have a valid driver's license and clean driving abstract is required.
• **Nice to have** relevant education in concrete flatworks.
• **Nice to have** concrete placing and finishing experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess work orders according to the Alberta Legislation Guidelines
• Meet with customers and communicate who will be responsible for repairs
• Maintain good relationships with customers
• Skillfully complete the repairs required
• Ensure health, safety, and environmental procedures on site are adhered to in accordance with legislation and company policies

• Excellent time management skills
• Trained on the use of power tools and physically capable of operating heavier duty tools, such as a drill core machine and floor grinder
• Proactive communicator
• Positive attitude
• Ability to work independently and, if necessary, in a team environment
• Good organizational and interpersonal skills
• Ability to maintain a calm, professional demeanor

Salary

• Competitive Wage - approx. $30/hour depending on experience
