The Social Media Specialist will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive social media strategy that aligns with our clients brand and business goals. This individual will create and publish engaging content across various social media platforms, build and manage our online community, and track and analyze social media performance metrics for the e-commerce and investor relations social channels.

Responsibilities:

  • Create compelling content on a weekly basis that is both creative and attention-grabbing.
  • Manage day-to-day social media activities, including scheduling, publishing, and monitoring posts across various platforms (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, etc.).
  • Respond promptly to comments, messages, and inquiries from the audience, maintaining a positive and professional online presence.
  • Monitor social media trends, tools, and best practices to integrate innovative strategies into the general plan, engaging users and building a larger following.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure your creative vision aligns with the companys values and overarching marketing strategy.
  • Track and analyze social media metrics to assess campaign effectiveness and adjust strategies accordingly to achieve KPIs.
  • Identify and engage with influencers, partners, and relevant communities to expand brand reach and foster positive relationships.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging social media platforms to provide insightful recommendations and maintain a competitive edge.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, New Media or Public Relations or 5 years of proven work experience as a Social Media Specialist or similar role.
  • Excellent research skills to stay informed on industry trends.
  • Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Adobe Illustrator OR Canva.
  • Basic video editing experience. Examples include CapCut.
  • Ability to proofread and edit content with a keen eye for detail.
  • Knowledge of digital marketing techniques.
  • Excellent consulting, writing, editing (photo/video/text), presentation and communication skills.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Links, images, and videos to relevant work. Links to past work that is currently live on social media would be preferred.
  • Proficient in using social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, Klaviyo or equivalent) and understanding social media analytics.
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to create compelling and grammatically accurate content.
  • Familiarity with social media advertising and sponsored content campaigns.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment, meeting tight deadlines without compromising quality.
  • Understanding of SEO principles and their application to social media content is a plus.
